Swift & Snow
Starring Romola Garai, Matthew Goode, Imogen Poots & James McAvoy
“A heist comedy film with plenty of adventure, a dash of dark humor and a sprinkling of romance.” Siblings Isabelle (Garai) and Luke Swift (Goode) are one of London’s’s most elite and best conmen. Isabelle is the mastermind behind the operations, beautiful with razor sharp wit, while younger brother Luke is the slick ladies’ man. However of late he has been haunted by cryptic messages which he suspects are from his ex, Alice (Keira Knightley), who left him at the altar a year ago and has disappeared without a trace. Clea Snow (Imogen Poots) is a disgraced, spoiled former socialite gone into hiding after her latest arrest for disorderly conduct. She has lost control of her life since her parents’ death two years ago. After her latest arrest, which she barely remembers due to the drugs she was allegedly on, the board of directors at her parents’ company seize control of her assets and entrust it to her uncle. When she discovers that her uncle may have set up her latest scandal to discredit her, she looks up Jimmy Knightley (McAvoy) in Scotland, the son of her old butler and her childhood acquaintance who she last heard had become a private investigator. Meanwhile, the Swifts’ stage a con, intending to swindle Clea out of her art collection, she figures it out (she’s willful, not stupid) and makes a deal with them—— if they help her steal back her fortune, she will not only not report them to the police, but also give them a share of the inheritance—- on the condition that she gets to tag along on the job. Intrigued by the fact that they have been outwitted by a bratty heiress, the Swifts’ take on the job. Luke himself has his own agenda, as he suspects Alice is on the run from the authorities in Tokyo, where the job will take them to. Jimmy is initially mortified that Clea has taken matters into her own hands, but is eventually persuaded to go along on the heist. Along the way, Clea will discover what she’s made of, who she is, and lessons in life, love and friendship from the most unlikely of people.for iheartkleenex (but i swapped out Henry Cavill for Matthew Goode, will be doing stuff like this, so sorry!)
